Question: What is CRV?
Answer: California Refund Value (CRV) is the amount paid by consumers at the checkout stand and paid back to consumers when they recycle eligible aluminum, plastic, glass and bi-metal beverage containers at certified recycling centers. The minimum refund value established for each type of eligible beverage container is 5 cents for each container under 24 ounces and 10 cents for each container 24 ounces or greater.

Question: What do I need to recycle CRV containers?
Answer: In compliance with CA State Law AB 1778, CRV materials over $100 require a valid CA drivers license, valid CA I.D. card issued by DMV or valid government issued I.D. card containing a photograph and address.
Question: Is there a limit to how much CRV I can bring in?
Answer:Yes, in compliance with California State Law, the daily load limit per vehicle or person are as follows:
Aluminum Cans – 100 lbs
Plastic bottles – 100 lbs
Glass bottles – 1000 lbs
